Beautiful and luxurious hotel that poses great value for money in a nice and quiet part of Tokyo.

A very European styled, luxurious hotel, that, for the oppulence of the facilties, is very good value. The rooms are lovely and again have a generally luxury feel (increasing of course the more you pay). Bonus points for their customer service when I left my iPad at one of their other facilities and they sent it ahead to me when I moved to the Rihga in Tokyo.

Enjoyable. Shuttle Bus service to Takadanobaba Station was brilliant.

Excellent accommodation for three adults. Junior double suite with garden view.

Restaurants were a little overpriced. Especially when a service charge is added.

Spacious and clean room,every 30 minutes shuttle bus, classic interior

This is my third visit. I used to give the hotel 9.5 points. It was a very charming hotel. But I felt that the hotel's service was not as good as two years ago. I also dislike artificial flower decorations. They made the hotel look cheap.

Wonderful small hotel in a nice neighborhood in Tokyo

Wonderful staff, very efficient, and great rooms, especially those with a view to. the garden. There is a good free shuttle bus, every 30 minutes, to Takadanobaba station that is easy access to both the metro and JR. Outstanding TepanYaki restaurant; close to Waseda dori with the best Raman shops in Tokyo...close to Waseda University, Kagurazaka neighborhood, and more. They also have an excellent, real pool in-house (Although it costs a little).

What was the highlight of Rihga Royal Hotel Tokyo

I woke up every day, pulled back my curtains and felt extremely happy with my beautiful view.

The hotel is located in a very quiet area with a major university behind it. I was out every day and it was nice to return to a very grand style of hotel. The staff are all beautifully presented and although no-one spoke much English, they all tried very hard to assist. The look of the hotel is more Italian than Japanese, somewhat old era, but I like that. A taxi to go to the centre of town costs around $35 but the hotel provides a mini bus to the nearest train station, if you're game to try navigating the trains. The taxis came within 5 minutes which suited me better.

I really couldn't fault the hotel - I got what I paid for, a junior suite overlooking the university park. I booked this based on a review I had read and it was worth the extra for more space and a super view.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Breakfast buffet was very good. The room was cozy and clean. The staff was very helpful and comfortable.

It is common in Japan to charge a room based on the number of people stay in the room. That is ridiculous when they do not provide any equivalent service based on the number of people to stay except a few small things. Japanese hotels should consider more family oriented rates that is more justifiable.

Comfy stay in a quiet part of central Tokyo.

High quality well appointed hotel with large comfortable homely feeling rooms. Though there was the inevitable gaggle of loud and barking Chinese tourists the staff managed to help them improve their manners, so the disturbance they caused was minimized.

Nice, quiet hotel with large rooms but quite expensive and a bit out of the way.

The rooms are big and comfortable (especially the bed which was hard). For Tokyo, very large rooms and it was a very quiet hotel. I have to admit to having slept quite well there. If you aere doing something at Waseda University it is super close to that (less convenient if you have things to do 5km away in Otemachi.). It felt very expensive for what you got though I was there during the tail end of otemachi.

Two major things: 1. I booked the hotel because it had a gym and paid a premium. I was told on checkin that using the gym was a 5500 Yen *per day* charge if I wanted to use it. Unreal. The second... the breakfasts were pretty bad. I only ate in the restaurant the one time but even then, I was a bit stunned at the high price and poor quality of the breakfast. Also, laundry was quite expensive (though they did a good job). I stay in hotels all the time these days, so even for Tokyo these things were surprising.

A very nice business hotel with a very pleasant garden and views of Tokyo. Recommended.

The breakfast buffet was very good - ample, varied.

Tokyo is massive and you will not be able to travel easily to all locations from here (or any single place, for that matter).

Comfortable, large rooms, but the trade off is proximity to areas of interest.

The breakfast was good and worth getting with the reservation. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome.

The pool and gym is not included in the reservation. The pool is strictly for laps, so wasn't as much fun for my daughter. Worth noting they do NOT allow tattoos. Swim cap is a must, except in the hot tub. It's not close to any of the main areas, but the train is about 7 minute walk.

Very nice stay far from the noise!

Beautiful hotel especially the lobby, corridors and the garden. The staff was ok but not speacially friendly like other 4 or 5 stars I usually do.. The hotel is far from the noise and rush of Tokyo so around 20 to 30minutes from every Tokyo site we wanted to visit but I was already aware of that and choose this hotel specially for that! I like the old way style of the hotel. We were feeling like in the 18th. A tube station is around 10minutes walk from the hotel. Be aware that they are no coffee or restaurant close to the hotel but around 10minutes walk which i did every morning but it was actually really nice and quiet walk that I really enjoyed doing alone! They were also a nice beautiful temple 10min walk too.

The garden was never opened the morning to the public. Very dispapointed as I came for that and it was always open when we were out visiting the city... So no point for me if it is close early morning or closed from 6pm too.. Sanrio park around 1h with train.

I like the size of juior suit room. It is spacious and comfortable and relaxing.

The view of Japanese gardens from junior suite. The view of Japanese garden from garden lounge. Love to have tea at the garden lounge. Beautiful and yet relaxing

Room does not keep clean. I see dust and hairs on rug and room’s corners. Also dent and scratches on the closet door and flames caught on my eyes

Overall it is a beautiful hotel probably better suit for business people.

Breakfast was good with good variety of dishes.

Staff speaks very poor English, no english tv channels, restaurant found to be expensive for the quality of dishes prepared. Location is not walkable and is far from most of the city attractions and underground trains.
